How Stand In The Face Of Evil

In our years of ministering to others, we have found that no matter what the issue, no matter where the problem lies, the answer is always the same.

What we have witnessed recently in Uvalde, Texas, was the highest form of evil unleashed in our society.

In trying to understand the “why” of the event, some say it’s a mental health issue; others say we need gun control. Some say we need to be more prepared for these situations.

The REAL problem is EVIL. It is demonic, plain and simple. A Pastor friend of ours recently told us that the invisible is more powerful than the visible. It’s absolutely true. There’s a heavenly realm and a demonic realm. In fact, what happens in plain sight comes from the invisible realm; if it’s good, it comes from the heavenly realm; if it’s bad, it comes from the demonic realm.

To combat evil in the natural realm will only bring limited results. You must fight in the Spirit! We are able! We are equipped by God Himself! Jesus is our answer! He’s been our answer to every single thing we have been through over the past few years. He’s always been our answer and always will be our answer.

But we have a part! What can we do?

First, you must get rid of fear of any kind.

Fear will mess you up; fear will bring you down; fear will block your victory; fear will inhibit your level of faith; fear will torment you.

To begin ridding yourself of fear, repeat out loud over and over again:

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7 MEV

Second, be aware of the enemy’s tactics:

Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him firmly in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
1 Peter 5:8-9 MEV

When fear strikes, be aware that it’s the enemy. He wants you defeated and useless in the Kingdom of God. But you are not defeated and useless! We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ! (Romans 8:37) and we are to resist the enemy and his lies. God loves us and is on our side but the enemy wants us to believe the opposite.

Know who you are in Christ, know that you have the authority to speak protection over you and your family, and use that authority! Lay hands on your children, bless them and speak life over them every day. Get in the Word of God and believe God’s Word will be true in your lives.

A beautiful prayer of protection in Scripture is Psalm 91. Read it, memorize it, speak it out every day. Make it personal for you and your family. And here it is:

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

Psalm 91, NLT

It’s time to: RAMP IT UP! RISE UP! GET VIOLENT! STAND IN FAITH! This, my friend, is fighting in the spirit realm. And most importantly, KNOW that God loves you dearly. Be encouraged. There’s an answer, and it’s Jesus!

Stay Blessed,

Al and Angie
